Rain eases, heat returns to Northern Vietnam
VOV.VN - After two days of much-needed rain, the heat is making a return to northern Vietnam as rainfall begins to subside.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, moderate to heavy rain, along with thunderstorms, continued in the northern mountainous and midland regions on August 7, with rainfall ranging from 10–30mm, and localized areas exceeding 80mm.
However, heavy rain is expected to decrease gradually from the afternoon, with cooler weather prevailing and temperatures ranging between 23–33°C.
From August 8, hot weather is forecast to return to the north, with daily highs of 35–36°C, and some areas exceeding 36°C. Relative humidity is expected to drop to 60–65%, creating a dry and uncomfortable atmosphere.
Meteorologists predicted that this heatwave could last until around August 10–11, after which another round of rain is likely.
Meanwhile, the central region continues to experience intense and prolonged heat, with temperatures commonly reaching 35–37°C, and some areas exceeding 38°C. Relative humidity levels remain low at 50–55%, intensifying the dry and oppressive conditions.
Meteorologists expected hot weather to persist across both the North and Central regions through mid-August, before gradually easing in the second half of the month.
