President attends Spring festival of ethnic groups

VOV.VN - President Truong Tan Sang on February 18 paid a Tet visit to representatives of ethnic groups at the Culture Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups on the outskirts of Hanoi and attended its Spring festival.

Patriarchs, religious dignitaries, and artisans from 54 ethnic groups nationwide and overseas Vietnamese  participated in the festival.

Sang expressed his hope that all Vietnamese people have a happy and prosperous life.

“National reform and global integration have been enhanced comprehensively and requires the unity and consensus of all Vietnam’s ethnic groups. No matter where they live in the mountains, the plains, or islands, they should contribute to national development and protection to serve the merits of their ancestors and fulfill their duty for the future generation,” he said.

The State leader urged ethnic people to engage in implementing the resolutions adopted at the 12th National Party Congress.
