PM Phuc calls for post-flood efforts

VOV.VN - On December 21, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc inspected post-flood clean-up activities in An Xuyen hamlet, Phu My district, Binh Dinh province.

He asked the local authority to allocate land and help the people rebuild their houses which were damaged in severe floods. '

The cabinet leader also called on locals to stay united and support each other to overcome their difficulties.

He also delivered gifts to 11 households whose homes were swept away by the torrential rains and floods.

Earlier, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee launched a fund-raising campaign to support local residents in flood-hit south central provinces.

Floods and heavy rains have caused serious damages, worth more than US$88 million to the five provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam and Khanh Hoa. 59 were reported dead and missing, 22 injured, and hundreds of thousands of houses were damaged.
