“No matter who you are, where you live, or what language you speak, we will work together to save our home - because we only have one home”, Khanh said in the video. |
The Miss Earth winner also stressed that such actions will contribute to building sustainable development on earth and increase overall happiness for us and future generations. |
Khanh also worked alongside relevant agencies in Ben Tre province and a local electricity company to present gifts to poor students as well as urging people to protect the environment, limit their use of plastic bags, and save energy by turning off all unnecessary electrical devices. |
In 2018’s Earth Hour, Vietnam saved a total of 485,000 kWh of electricity, equivalent to VND834 million (US$36,612), between 8:30pm and 9:30pm. |
