People cram into trains on the long journey home for Tet
VOV.VN - Many passengers have to find what space they can on overcrowded trains, often sitting in the aisles as record numbers of travellers head home for the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

Since February 5, the Saigon Train Station has launched a peak program to transport workers who are working in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces to their homes in the central and northern regions for Tet.

Each day, the station serves around 18-20 trains, carrying more than 22,000 passengers. |

While waiting for their trains, many passengers save time by taking photos or surfing on the Internet and chatting with their friends. |

Bien Hoa Station in Dong Nai Province is also very crowded with large numbers of workers from industrial and processing zones taking the train home for Tet. |

On the SE8 train from HCM City to Hanoi, many passengers have to stand, or sleep on plastic chairs and even next to rest-rooms. |
