OVs around the world celebrate Tet

VOV.VN - Vietnamese people around the world are celebrating Tet, the traditional Lunar New Year festival.

As many as 300 Vietnamese people and international friends have met recently in Fukuoka, Japan for lunar New Year festival or Tet.

They were treated to art performances, traditional dishes, green square sticky rice cakes, and Tet gifts for children.  

The Vietnamese community in Mexico have gathered to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) festival. 

In his speech, Vietnam Ambassador to Mexico Le Linh Lan reaffirmed the Vietnamese Party and State’s consistent stance on pursuing an external policy of independence, self-reliance, openness, diversification and multilateralisation of ties, and of active and proactive global integration. 

She expressed her delight at the development of Vietnam-Mexico ties with increased exchange of delegations at all levels and the establishment of a Bilateral Inter-Committee. 

Praising the Vietnamese community’s solidarity and mutual support in the host country as well as contributions to the national construction, the ambassador conveyed her New Year wishes to the participants on the occasion. 

At the event, Vietnamese nationals were treated with music performances and traditional cuisine. 

Similar Tet celebrations have been held for Vietnamese people living in Brazil, the Netherlands, Laos, Spain, and Belgium.
