Overseas Vietnamese youths to come for annual summer camp
VOV.VN - Young overseas Vietnamese aged 12 to 22 from across the world are set to take part in the 16th summer camp which is scheduled to take place from July 11 to July 15 in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Thuan province.
The annual event organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for overseas Vietnamese and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union aims to provide a chance for young overseas Vietnamese people to connect with local youth, as well as finding out about the nation’s traditional culture and history.
The summer camp will take the young expats to visit numerous popular historical relics and natural attractions throughout Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Thuan province.
Participants will have the chance to learn about traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, sample traditional cuisine, as well as discovering local life and culture through various activities during the course of the summer camp.
A wide range of activities will also be held, including a voluntary campaign in Thanh An island commune in Can Gio district of Ho Chi Minh City where they will join activities for environmental protection and hold exchanges with local youths.
