Despite being declared free from the epidemic on September 1, Ky Khang commune was hit by a fresh wave of ASF following pigs of Nguyen Van Hung of Trung Tien village being detected with the fever.
In order to cope with the complicated nature in the developments of the epidemic, local authorities have encouraged households and locals to take preventive measures in a bid to halt the rapid spread of the ASF epidemic.
Ky Anh district has provided 3,810 litres of chemicals and 32 tonnes of lime powder to those in high-risk areas, whilst authorities are also strictly monitoring the transportation of pigs and pork products through quarantine stations.
