Ookla honours Vinaphone as Fastest Mobile Network in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Vinaphone has won the Speedtest Award for Fastest Mobile Network in Vietnam, as announced by the data service provider Ookla.
According to information given by Ookla, the result is based on an in-depth analysis of consumer-initiated tests taken with Speedtest during Q2 and Q3 of this year.
The data serve provider noted that Vinaphone achieved a speed score of 55.87, with median download speeds of 53.24 Mbps and median upload speeds of 23.39 Mbps.
Viettel closely followed with a speed score of 53.51, whilst MobiFone came last at 40.30.
Vietnam Telecom Services Company, VinaPhone, is the leading mobile operator in the nation.
It was the first mobile operator to launch 3G services on October 12, 2009, going on to achieve a lot of value-added service (VAS) based awards granted by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Mobile Award.
In 2022 Vinaphone was the country’s fastest mobile operator during the first quarter, reaching a median mobile download speed of 42.43 Mbps, faster than Viettel at 40.61 Mbps and Mobifone at 29.91 Mbps.
