One saved and six missing following vessel sinking in Quang Binh

VOV.VN -A fisherman has been successfully rescued, while six others have been reported missing following a fishing boat sinking at sea in Quang Binh, according to the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue in Nghe An province.

The Quynh Thuan border station was informed that a NA 93010 TS fishing boat, captained by Cao Van Y, had begun to sink close to the Gianh gate in Quang Binh province at 14:00 on September 5.

The vessel was carrying a total of seven crew members at that time and was travelling from Nghe An province.

Upon receiving the news, rescue forces were deployed and successfully saved one victim, later named as Nguyen Van Thang.

Despite this, the six other fishermen on board remain missing. A wider search to locate the missing fishermen is currently underway.
