OIF Former Director honoured with Friendship Order

(VOV) - On October 15, the Vietnam Embassy in France hosted a ceremony to award Anissa Barrak, former Asia-Pacific Regional Director of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), the Friendship Order.

Ambassador Nguyen Ngoc Son hailed Ms. Barak’s contributions to Vietnam and the Asia Pacific region. He said, "Ms. Anissa’s contributions to promote the French speaking community’s activities in Vietnam have proved to be effective. She helped expand the French speaking community in Asia Pacific and boost the implementation of Vietnam’s international integration policies. We were very lucky and grateful for your companionship."

Ms. Barack in turn said, "I have always been a friend of Vietnam. I’m very proud and honoured about that. I want to confirm that I will do my best to nurture and consolidate my relations with Vietnam no mater where I work or reside, whether France or Tunisia, and to serve as a bridge to promote cooperation, exchanges, and dialogues among nations."
