Northern Vietnam braced for arrival of cold spell

VOV.VN - A cold spell is forecast to hit the country's northern provinces on the evening of October 28, bringing with it spells of rain coupled with lowering temperatures.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the cold spell will begin to affect northern mountainous provinces on the evening of October 28 before moving to the northern and north central region.

The impact of the cold period is expected to lead to downpours covering the majority of the north on the night of October 28.

Furthermore, provinces in the northern and north central region are anticipated to endure a period of low temperatures.

As such, Hanoi will face both rain and low temperatures between October 28 and October 30.
