Nghe An eyes co-operation in high-quality human training with US

VOV.VN- Representatives of the US Asia Chamber of Commerce (USACC) held a working session on June 12 with the Department of Education and Training of the central province of Nghe An on a high-quality human resources training programme within the framework of the US business delegation's investment survey in the locality.

In his speech, Thai Van Thanh, director of Nghe An province’s Department of Education and Training, highlighted the important significance of the exchange and collaboration scheme, stating that in the long-term strategy aimed at creating a legal corridor for sustainable development of provincial education by 2030 with a vision towards 2045, the province had identified one of three breakthrough tasks as strengthening domestic and international ties in education and especially in digital transformation.

Therefore, in order to sustainably develop education and training, Thanh stated that the key solution is to organise training and the fostering of teachers and administrators in line with national and international standards. This should be done whilst promoting the role of teachers and educational administrators in the cause of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training.

Nghe An has built effective educational innovation models such as advanced schools following the trend of international integration, smart schools, and models which seek to ensure the quality of general education and preschool education.

The locality is in the process of carrying out a project aimed at restructuring universities and colleges, as well as co-ordinating in upgrading Vinh University to serve as a prestigious training hub in the region and the world.

Proposing prospects for future co-operation in education and training, Thanh expressed a wish to co-operate in building a joint training programme between North American University and universities in the province. This will focus on industries such as electronic semiconductors, electronics, and a number of other new sectors in order to meet the need for human resources in the era of digital transformation.

Accordingly, North American University and other US universities will support Nghe An in building new models of creative smart cities. This will be done whilst investing in building a training branch or international university in the university urban area with development planning ahead to 2050.

At the working session, Jill Martin, president of North American University, said that this represents an opportunity for US delegation members to introduce the University, training programmes, and courses, as well as launch scholarship policies.

The university's human resource training programme can be considered quite different as it focuses on practical skills and provides opportunities for Nghe An students who wish to study at the school.

The university will therefore strive to create the most favourable conditions possible to support Nghe An students in particular, as well as Vietnamese students in general, when studying abroad.

After the working session, representatives of universities in the United States and the USACCA visited the advanced training model at Huynh Thuc Khang high school in Vinh city.
