New Zealand: Vietnamese sailors did not violate law

Immigration New Zealand has announced that three Vietnamese sailors who had been detained by New Zealand authorities while being on board a Korean ship did not violate the law and are in good health condition.

Shortly after receiving information about the detention on November 29 of the sailors, including Tran Ngoc Son (born in 1975), Pham The Manh (born in 1991) and Nguyen Van Duc (born on 1992), the Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand worked with Immigration New Zealand to verify the news and clear up the case.

The embassy coordinated with Immigration New Zealand to make procedures and buy air tickets for the sailors to return home.
