New library in Lumpini park to serve as learning center

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has unveiled its newly renovated public library in Lumpini Park, serving as a youth learning center.

The new library is the result of the BMA’s collaboration with the HSBC Bank. It has the unique shape of a golden turtle and provides children with fun activities to complement their reading. It includes a playground, as well as workshops in English learning, personal finance, and DIY projects.

It is part of the BMA’s goal to improve the city’s libraries and encourage children to spend more time reading, which has been found to increase brain capacity and memorization.

The library in Bangkok's Lumpini Park, is open from 8:30am to 8:00pm from Tuesday to Saturday and from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday.
