Starting on October 30, traffic is allowed to flow on a flyover at the intersection between North Thang Long urban highway and Bac Hong – Van Dien railroad in Hanoi.
The 20-span flyover is 1,000 metres in length with a six-lane approach road that is 393 metres long and 26 metres wide.
It is part of a sub-project worth 354 billion VND (15.86 million USD) that also includes a frontage road and other transport infrastructure.
The facility helps those in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh and Lang Son cut their travel time to Noi Bai International Airport and central Hanoi, as it connects these northern provinces with Nhat Tan and Thang Long bridges.
At the inauguration ceremony, Hanoi People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen The Thao lauded efforts made to complete the construction five months ahead of schedule.
