New e-government platform introduced

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has introduced the Flex Digital platform, a comprehensive solution to develop e-government in all fields on the basis of its components facilitating important activities such as online public services, online single window systems of ministries, sectors and localities, and digital data management

Launched on December 4, the platform is part of the “Make in Vietnam” platforms developed under the programme on National Digital Transformation to 2025 with a vision to 2030.

Built on the foundation of open technology, the platform supports agencies and localities to speed up the completion of solutions and products meeting the development demands of e-government in Vietnam, while helping reduce cost.

Addressing the launching ceremony, MIC Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that during the building of e-government, Vietnam will develop and own digital technology basing on open standards, with “Make in Vietnam” not only a technology strategy but also a plan of action.

Components of the platform have been applied effectively in 11 sectors and ministries, five provinces and two international organizations. In the future, Flex Digital will continue to be completed and used to build more software serving the digitalization in ministries, sectors and localities across the country.
