New classroom opened for OVs in Cambodia
VOV.VN - A new classroom for overseas Vietnamese children in Pursat, Cambodia was inaugurated on July 9 with the attendance of Vietnamese Embassy representatives and the Khmer-Vietnamese Association Executive Board in Pursat, and a large number of OVs, teachers and pupils.
At the inauguration ceremony, Ngo Van Ly, head of the Khmer-Vietnamese Association in Koh Kek hamlet, said OVs in the remote fishing village on Tonle Sap Lake are touched by the care and attention shown by the Vietnamese Party and Government.
Pursat is one of the provinces in northeastern Cambodia with the highest number of OVs, having nearly 1,900 households with 7,000 residents. Koh Kek hamlet alone has 289 households.
