National Press Festival 2025 leaves lasting impression on the public

VOV.VN - The National Press Festival 2025 concluded on June 21 at the National Convention Center in Hanoi after three days of vibrant activities celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam’s revolutionary press (1925-2025).

The event was hosted by the Vietnam Journalists Association under the theme “Vietnamese press – loyal, creative, courageous, and innovative for national development and defence”, with guidance from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said the festival offered an opportunity for journalists to reflect on the achievements of revolutionary journalism in Vietnam and reaffirm the press’s increasingly vital role in national development.

This year’s festival featured over 124 media agencies featuring diverse, well-curated publications that highlighted the growing professionalism and modernization of Vietnamese journalism. Friendly exchanges between journalists and the public created a warm, accessible atmosphere, helping audiences better understand the profession and the silent dedication behind it.

Loi emphasized that the showcased works not only represented editorial efforts but also reflected a strong sense of social responsibility and commitment to public service. He underlined the importance of thematic discussions at the festival, especially on artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism-a topic drawing considerable interest in the media industry. By dealing with this issue, the press community demonstrated a proactive approach to embracing new technologies for more effective, accurate, and engaging journalism while preserving the political orientation and identity of revolutionary press.

While the 2025 National Press Festival has drawn to a close, the values, lessons, and inspiration it generated will continue to resonate. With a proud 100-year legacy, firm political grounding, and a spirit of innovation, Vietnam’s revolutionary press is expected to achieve even greater success and remain worthy of the trust placed in it by the Party and the people.

As part of the event, the organizing committee and awards council presented prizes for outstanding exhibition booths and awarded certificates of recognition to individuals, organizations, and businesses that contributed to the festival’s success-an important event commemorating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam’s revolutionary journalism (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025).
