Nam Dinh police bust major transnational drug ring

VOV.VN - Nam Dinh police say they have arrested two suspects and seized 45 kilos of ecstasy, 20 kilos of heroin, phones, motorbikes and other drug paraphernalia following an investigation into a major drug-smuggling ring.

The ring leaders were identified as Nguyen Thi Quyen born in 1971 and Dao Thi Lan born in 1979, who police suspect were also the couriers transporting the drugs across the borders from neighbouring countries.

Lieutenant general Dong Dai Loc said the bust is one of the largest on record and contributes to ensuring social order in the province of Nam Dinh and surrounding localities as TET draws near.
