Museum receives memorabilia of Argentine war reporter
The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of War Remnants has received memorabilia of Argentine journalist Ignacio Ezcurra who disappeared in Sai Gon (now Ho Chi Minh City) 50 years ago during the war.

The memorabilia included the Argentine journalist’s press card and the first edition of the book entitled Hasta Vietnam (To Vietnam), which is a collection of articles and photos of the war against the US in Vietnam published in May 1972. The book includes pieces of diary he wrote in the morning of May 8, 1968 – the day he went missing.
Born 1939 in San Isidro, Argentina, Ezcurra studied at Columbia University in New York with a scholarship from the Inter American Press Association. He worked in graphics, radio and television and travelled most of Argentina and the US to screen documentaries for the Buenos Aires-based Di Tella Institute.
Ezcurra was best known for his works on the Black Power movement in the US, and interviews with the US Senator for New York Robert Kennedy and American Baptist minister and activist Martin Luther King.
He was a war correspondent of La Nació de Buenos Aires newspaper in Vietnam.
Ezcurra’s memorabilia can be seen on the second floor of the museum at 28 Vo Van Tan street in District 1.
