MSDHS to hold National Elderly Day on 10 April

The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) will hold the National Elderly Day on 10 April 2017. 

Social Development and Human Security Minister Adul Sangsingkeo gave a press conference on the organizing of the National Elderly Day at IMPACT Forum, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi, on 10 April 2017, ahead of the National Elderly Day which was usually held on 13 April in previous years. 

He said the government is pushing forward measures to prepare Thailand for the ageing society by promoting employment among elders, the construction of housing for elders, the offer for residence loans for elders, and the improvement to the pension system. 

The government is also encouraging cooperation between the related agencies to push forward cooperation schemes that helps improve the society and enhance the quality of life among elders. 

The event will feature activities and exhibitions from many agencies such as the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as other related agencies and associations.
