More than 2,500 poor people in Quang Tri get free medical checkups

More than 2,500 poor people in the central province of Quang Tri on March 12 received free medical checkups, medicine and gifts from the Project Vietnam Foundation organisation of the American Academy of Paediatrics.

A 70-member delegation of the organisation provided checkups and medicine for disadvantaged people in Hai An and Hai Khe communes of Hai Lang district, Cam Tuyen commune of Cam Lo district and Ba Long of Da Krong district.

Local residents also received counselling on how to prevent and treat various diseases.

This is the second time Project Vietnam Foundation has provided free checkups and medicine to people in Quang Tri province, and the 22nd time across Vietnam since 1996.
