May Day: Who has to work the National Holiday

VOV.VN - Most workers have a holiday on May Day (May 1), but there are still those who must work on the holiday to earn their living.

Most city bus drivers don’t get the day off.

Nor do most city sanitation workers.

Their responsibility is to keep the streets clean, especially on national holidays.

Post office workers also must work regular shifts to deliver the mail and newspapers throughout the country.

Workers at the Long Bien Market don’t get many holidays off, including May 1.

They work around the clock.

Despite a hard job, a female workers is happy with her work.

Many workers in the services sector such as salespersons, motorcycle drivers, staff at entertainment sites don’t get the May Day holiday off.

These workers still must toil on the holiday to earn their living.

Notably, railway staff also must work the holiday.
