Maritime Bank is among the first Vietnamese businesses to receive the certification.

According to General Director of the bank Huynh Buu Quang, Maritime Bank always strives to create an equitable working environment.

He said the bank provides favourable policies that help its staff balance work and life, including Maritime Bank Care Package for Staff policy, special policies for women during pregnancy and maternity leave and more paid leave for male employers whose wives are on maternity leave.

EDGE Certification is a leading global assessment methodology and business certification standard for gender equality. It was developed by the EDGE Certified Foundation and launched at the World Economic Forum in 2011.

It has been designed to help organisations not only create an optimal workplace for all, but also benefit from it. It helps foster equal opportunities for women and men in the workplace.
