Many survive as bus overturns on southern expressway

VOV.VN - Many passengers have survived after a 29-seater bus hit a soft median strip and overturned on Trung Luong – Ho Chi Minh City expressway on March 9.

The accident happened at around 12 o’clock at bypass No10 of Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province.

The bus carrying approximately 20 passengers on board was travelling from Ho Chi Minh City to Tien Giang.

The vehicle was said to suddenly swerve to the right, crash into the soft median strip and flip sideways off the expressway.

Hearing about the news, the police and doctors were dispatched to the scene to transfer injured passengers to nearby medical facilities.

At least two passengers were serious injured in the accident, according to the local police.
