More than 100 artefacts, mostly made of stone and bone, were found in Oc cave, said Associate Professor PhD Trinh Nang Chung from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology on August 24.
Archaeologists also dug a 4 sq.m hole near the cave’s entrance and found a civilisation layer about 40-50cm thick and three cooking places.
Meanwhile, in Dong Hang cave, archaeologists uncovered more than 20 stone and bone artefacts.
Chung said on the basis of the features of the artefacts found, archaeologists believe prehistoric people in the Bac Son civilisation lived in the caves about 6,000 years ago.
