Firefighters were called to a home in Gwangsan, Gwangju District, at about at 6:51 p.m. on September 4 after eyewitnesses reported hearing an explosion and seeing flames erupting from the residence.

A 32-year-old man died at the scene. His wife, who was at work at the time, was not injured.

The victim has been identified as Le Ba Luan from the Bau Nang Village in the Duong Minh Chau District of Tay Ninh Province.
