Malaysian baby sea turtles released into the sea in Con Dao

VOV.VN - Rangers of the Con Dao National Park in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, southern Vietnam, along with local people and tourists on June 9 released 87 Malaysian baby sea turtles into the sea.

These baby turtles hatched out on June 8 evening. They are among 108 eggs laid by a Malaysian sea turtle on a beach of Bay Canh island in April.

On April 22, rangers of the Con Dao National Park discovered two sea turtles on the large sandy beach of Bay Canh island to lay eggs.

One of the turtles was wearing a stainless steel tag on its left limb with the words Malaysia.

The turtle had a shell length of 97 cm, a shell width of 84 cm, and weighs about 90 kg. It laid 108 eggs and then returned to the sea.
