Magnitude-4 earthquake hits Hanoi capital

VOV.VN - An earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale hit My Duc district of Hanoi capital early on March 25 morning, according to the Earthquake and Tsunami Warning Centre under the Institute of Geophysics of Vietnam.

The earthquake occurred at 8:05 a.m. with its epicentre at a depth of 16 kilometres. It did not cause any damage to life and property.

Residents living and working in high-rise buildings in the city felt a tremor was running down the structures, albeit for a short time.

The Institute of Geophysics of Vietnam said it would continue to keep a close watch on the earthquake.
