The information was unveiled at the 2025 Shin Kyuk-ho Lotte Global Scholarship’s award ceremony held concurrently in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Recipients were chosen by the Shin Kyuk-ho Lotte Global Scholarship Fund (Vietnam) from a pool of candidates recommended by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), following an independent review and final assessment.

Accordingly, the 100 awardees, selected from five universities in Ho Chi Minh City and another five in Hanoi, including the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and the Hanoi National University of Education, received a scholarship of US$450 each. This year’s scholarship funding totals KRW66 million, bringing the total value of Lotte’s scholarships in Vietnam to roughly KRW1.7 billion.

Since 2008, the Lotte Scholarship Foundation has identified and supported outstanding students across Southeast Asia, with the goal of nurturing future global leaders. The foundation currently provides academic support to exceptional individuals from Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, and the Philippines. To date, it has awarded approximately KRW3.8 billion in scholarships to around 7,000 students.

Chairperson of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation Jang Hye Seon said by offering scholarships specifically to Vietnamese students, the foundation hopes to inspire them not only to pursue leadership roles within Vietnam but also to commit wholeheartedly to their studies and strive to become global leaders.
