Lotte donates VND3 bil in support of Vietnamese recovery efforts of typhoon Yagi
VOV.VN - Lotte Group of the Republic of Korea (RoK) announced on September 24 that it will donate KRW160 million, equal to about VND3 billion, to support the northern Vietnamese provinces to overcome the aftermath of typhoon Yagi.
Accordingly, a total of 18 subsidiaries of Lotte group in Vietnam, including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, Lotte Construction, Lotte Hotel, Lotte Rental, and Lotte Chemical, have all participated in this donation.
The collected amount will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Lotte initially began investing in the Vietnamese market in 1996. Over the past nearly three decades, the group has expanded its operations into multiple fields and now has many branches in provinces and cities nationwide.
The group’s braches have also joined in numerous social and charitable activities in the country so far.
In 2020, Lotte donated KRW200 million to the Vietnamese COVID-19 pandemic prevention campaign. A year later, it KRW500 million to support the establishment of a vaccine fund in Vietnam.
