L’Oreal for Women honours five Vietnamese scientists

VOV.VN -Five Vietnamese have been honoured at a ceremony of the 2016 L’Oreal For Women in Science Awards held in Hanoi on November 29 for their work and impact in the scientific community.

Two winners of the national awards included Professor, Dr Nguyen Thi Lang, head of the Department of Biotechnology at Cuu Long University and Dr Nguyen Thi Mua, a researcher from Vietnam Fire and Rescue Police Department-Ministry of Public Security.

Winners of Rising Young Talent awards

This year’s Rising Young Talent awards went to Associate Prof, Dr Do Thi Ha from the Institute of Medicine, Dr Do Thi Phuc, a lecturer from Hanoi University of Sciences, and Dr Nguyen Thi Hiep, a lecturer from Ho Chi Minh City International University.

The L'Oreal for Women in Science Awards was first launched in Vietnam in 2009 to support the development of women in scientific research.
