Latin American political activists commemorate President Ho Chi Minh
A delegation of political activists from left wing and progressive parties in Latin America laid flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Mexico City to show respect to the Vietnamese leader’s thoughts and morality.

In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Nguyen Hoanh Nam noted that President Ho Chi Minh is a national liberation hero, a great man of culture, and a model communist who devoted his whole life to the national freedom not only of Vietnam but of all suppressed countries around the world.
Vietnam has organised various activities in June to mark the 110th anniversary of President Ho leaving the country to travel around the world in search of ways to secure national salvation (June 5, 1911-2021), he noted.
The ambassador thanked the administration of Mexico City for arranging a special place for the statue, expressing the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Mexico.
He thanked international friends and lovers of peace and freedom around the world for their warm sentiments and support for Vietnam in its past struggles for national independence and its ongoing national construction and development efforts.
For her part, Martha Garcia Alvarado, First Secretary for External Relations of Morena, said that Morena and Mexico consider President Ho Chi Minh a mirror in the fight for democracy and the interests of the people.
