Lai Chau hydro power plant enters operations
(VOV) - On December 23, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung witnessed the operation of Generator 1 of the Lai Chau hydro power plant.
Once it becomes operational, the Lai Chau hydro power plant and the Son La and Hoa Binh hydro power plants will produce one third of Vietnam’s hydro power, Dung said.
The government leader hailed the great efforts by the project’s investor and the Electricity of Vietnam group over the last five years to ensure the project’s progress.
Ten collectives received the Labor Order, second and third class, for their contributions to building the Lai Chau hydro power plant.
