Korean fugitives wanted by Interpol arrested in Ho Chi Minh City

VOV.VN - The Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention (PA05) under the Ministry of National Security announced on June 1 that they had arrested three Korean nationals wanted by INTERPOL in Ho Chi Minh City.

PA05 had discovered and subsequently arrested the three internationally-wanted individuals with Korean nationality who were hiding in Ho Chi Minh City. The group consists of Jeong Kiwon, aged 48, Park Jaihyung, aged 40, and Jang WooJin, aged 43, all of whom were charged with "Operating online betting websites".

The police said the group had used highly-sophisticated tactics, such as registering their temporary residence at one place but living in another, and frequently changing their residence to avoid detection by the police.

The three individuals were handed over to the Korean police at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on May 26.
