Japan eases entry regulations for Vietnamese citizens
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has officially announced the relaxation of entry requirements for a number of priority subjects as part of the economic recovery policy being implemented by the Japanese Government, including Vietnamese interns and workers.
According the Department of Overseas Labour (DoLAB) of the Vietnam Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), registration documents are set to be received starting from 10 a.m. (Japan time) on November 8. Following entry, the receiving company and the management union will be responsible for managing interns' travel and isolation activities.
According to the new pandemic prevention policy that was announced last week by the Japanese Government, for those who have fully been vaccinated for at least 14 days with one of the three vaccines approved in Japan, namely Pfizer, Mordena, and AstraZeneca, and who have a negative RT-PCR test result 72 hours before entry, their home isolation period will be shortened to three days after entry.
For those who have yet to be fully vaccinated or who are vaccinated with other vaccines, in addition to having a negative RT-PCR test result 72 hours before entry, they must also be quarantined at home for 14 days after entry. However, if it is possible to test negative after 10 days then the quarantine period will end.
At present the Japanese Government still only allows as many as 3,500 people to enter the country each day, with this figure set to be considered increasing to 5,000 per day.
Competent Japanese agencies will therefore continue to issue new guidelines regarding interns who wish to enter the nation in the near future.
