International conference in Italy highlights traditional Vietnamese medicine
VOV.VN - A research project on traditional Vietnamese medicine was highlighted at an international conference held in Milan, Italy, on August 12 - 13.
It was reported at the event that medical products under the preclinical studies have proved both safe and effective in preventing the formation and dissolving blood clots, especially in treating myocardial infarction.
Vietnamese researchers of the project outlined that there is a potential for the launch of safe and effective drug in preventing and treating thrombosis-related problems, including myocardial infarction moving forward.
The research project has also shown the role of traditional medicine and Vietnamese herbal products in solving difficult problems occurring in the medical sector.
Research originated from a product of Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company, with preclinical studies conducted at the Center for Clinical Pharmacology, Hanoi Medical University.
Sao Thai Duong is a science and technology enterprise with 14 exclusive patents. The firm’s most recent product is Sunkovir - a herbal medicine for treating COVID-19 and viruses transmitted through the respiratory tract and seasonal flu.
