Interior view of the most modern observatory in the northern region

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Space Centre, under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, unveiled their plan on January 9 to operate an astronomical observatory in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi.

It is hoped that members of the public can come to gain insights into the world of astronomy..
The project is the most modern Astronomical Observatory in the northern region and features a dome screen as well as 100 seats.
Images and short films can be projected onto the dome through a high-resolution six-projector system that produces three dimensional effects (3D). This provides visitors with a true-to-life experience of space-time and the distant stars.
The 100-seat optical telescope has a diametre of 0.5 m.
The telescope is equipped with a professional image recorder and a high-quality spectrograph.

The automatic dome helps visitors to clearly view motions of celestial objects and a number of interesting astronomical phenomena.

From the second quarter, the observatory will be open to visitors, students, researchers, and scientists.
