Intel-funded programme helps enhance IT application

Intel-the world leading information technology group launched a programme in Hanoi on April 24 to offer computers to Vietnamese students and people.

Director of Intel World Ahead Programme in Asia-Pacific Carlos Martinez said the programme is expected to give people, especially those in remote and mountainous areas, more opportunities to improve the IT appliance in their daily lives.

In its first phase from April 24 to June 30, it will work with agents from 24 localities nationwide to offer computers designed for the programme at reasonable prices.

IT courses will also be held for people as part of the programme to train human resources for Vietnam.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Tran Duc Lai spoke highly of Intel’s programme, which helps students and people, especially in remote, mountainous and island areas, get access to IT.
