Individuals prosecuted for organising illegal exits to China, RoK

VOV.VN - The police of central Ha Tinh province have launched criminal proceedings against six Vietnamese individuals for organising the illegal exit of 30 people.

The ring was masterminded by Do Trong Anh, 37, a resident of Hanoi, and supported by Vu Thi Phuong, 33; Hoang Thi Phuong, 42; Tran Thi Chien, 41; Nguyen Thi Hang, 41; and Vo Cong Son, 49.

According to initial investigations, Trong Anh, who was director of Hoang Anh International Tourism Trade Joint Stock Company, colluded with a Chinese man to organise illegal exits to the Republic of Korea.

Trong Anh’s company was tasked with organising tours to China while the Chinese man was responsible for bringing the people to the RoK by boat in exchange for US$13,000.

To carry out the scheme, the ringleader and his accomplices recruited Vietnamese citizens wishing to work in the RoK and they got US$15,000 to US$20,000 per person for this illegal service.

The Chinese man was caught red handed bringing 30 Vietnamese citizens to the RoK by the Chinese police. At the police station, the Chinese man told the whole truth about the ring.
