In photos: Hanoi to open 2nd walking street on May 11

VOV.VN -Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street will be officially opened on May 11, providing a new recreational space for the public.

It is hoped that Trinh Cong Son Street, named after one of Vietnam's most beloved musicians who passed away in 2001, will be as successful as the pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake.
A number of activities will be held on the street, including art and cultural performances, to meet the demand for weekend entertainment from local and international tourists.
Workers are busily putting the finishing touches to the last phases of the project.

Flowers will be planted along the pedestrian zone, creating a burst of colour to brighten the street.
Visitors will be able to buy souvenirs, signature foods, and drinks of Hanoi and Hoi An from around 60 mobile kiosks.
The street will be off-limits to all vehicles on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.

A hotline number will soon be announced for any complaints from tourists and local residents.
The project was scheduled to open on October 10, 2017 but was postponed due to unforeseen problems.
