HCM City to launch measles-rubella vaccination campaign

Ho Chi Minh City from next month will implement a campaign to give the measles–rubella vaccination to about 124,000 people aged 16-17 from 24 districts in the city.

The plan targets to inoculate 90% of people aged 16-17 living in the city against measles and rubella, which is provided free from the expanded national immunisation project.

Subjects of the vaccination campaign include 11 th and 12 th grade high school students and those who were born from January 1, 1998 to December 31, 1999.

The campaign also targets those born in 2000 but who have not yet received injections in the 2014-2015 measles–rubella vaccination campaign for children aged 1-14.

The vaccination will not include girls who are pregnant.
