HCM City to build 28 anti-erosion embankments
The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has approved construction of embankments at 28 outlying locations to prevent erosion of river and canal banks.

Three are in Nha Be District and the rest are in Can Gio.
In Nha Be, the embankments are urgently required at Tram Bau in Hieo Phuoc Commune and along the Doi Canal and the Giong River in Long Thoi Commune to prevent further erosion.
In Can Gio, seven embankments in An Thoi Dong Commune will be built first with completed slated by 2018.
Relevant city agencies and the Can Gio People’s Committee will draft plans for building the remaining 18.
