Hanoi spring book fair earns over VND4 billion on Tet holiday
The spring book fair at Hanoi’s Book Street earned more than VND4 billion (US$177,200) from selling some 80,000 books from February 18 (the third day of the Lunar New Year 2018) to 25.
The most attractive titles to readers featured the fourth industrial revolution, Vietnam’s history through pictures, Hanoi’s traditional dishes and Tet celebrations.
Hanoi’s first Book Street debuted on May 1 at December 19 Street of Hoan Kiem district, aiming to promote reading culture.
The street features 16 booths with easy access for children and people with disabilities, along with public computers for readers to search for information, free wifi and water.
It is open to the public from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm every day.
