Hanoi reports over 1,200 cases of dengue fever within a week
VOV.VN - Hanoi has reported an additional 1,200 cases of dengue fever from July 10 to 17, reported the City Department of Health.
Since the beginning of the year, the capital city has witnessed more than 5,300 cases of dengue fever, including one death in Dong Da district.
To deal with the unpredictable development of dengue fever, Hanoi’s health sector has used fogging machines to kill mosquitoes in living quarters. The optimum droplet size for space spraying against mosquitoes is up to 50metre.
Since June, Hanoi Centre for Preventive Medicine has sprayed the insecticide against mosquitoes at more than 30 wards that have detected outbreaks of dengue fever.
