Hanoi records additional COVID-19 relapse case
VOV.VN - A 48-year-old woman residing in Cau Giay district in Hanoi who had been previously been discharged from hospital for a period of 20 days after going on to recover from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), has once again tested positive for the virus.
The case involves a woman who is confirmed to have been an F1 contact of another individual after attending a wedding of a COVID-19 patient’s family in Chi Linh city of Hai Duong province.
The woman had originally been diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus on February 1 before being admitted to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Kim Chung Commune of Dong Anh district in Hanoi.
After going on to record three consecutive negative tests for the virus, she was subsequently released from hospital on February 20 before undergoing a period of isolation at her home in Cau Giay district in Hanoi.
After her samples were taken on February 24 to check for signs of the virus, her results once again came back positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Subsequently, she was brought back to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in order to undergo further treatment.
Since January 27 the capital has recorded a total of 35 positive COVID-19 cases among the community, including in districts such as Cau Giay, Me Linh, Dong Anh, Hai Ba Trung, Nam Tu Liem, and Dong Da.
Most notably, over the previous 10 days Hanoi has seen no new COVID-19 cases.
