The Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC) is cooperating with the Health Centers in Gia Lam and Phuc Tho districts to conduct close contact tracing related to the five positive COVID-19 cases for taking samples and quarantine, while monitoring F2 contacts, and disinfecting areas in the outbreak.

Also on May 9 morning, Vietnam's National Cancer Hospital, known as K Hospital, said, more than 2,400 samples tested at the hospital came out negative for SARS-CoV-2, while more than 1,600 samples are waiting for results.

The hospital has conducted epidemiological investigation, traced close contacts, took samples to test more than 4,000 patients, patient's family members, healthcare workers at the hospital's 3 medical facilities.

K Hospital treats many patients from numerous provinces and cities, alongside a large number of visitors and caregivers, thus posing the high risk of pandemic spread.
