Hanoi proposes VND229 billion support plan for political security forces

VOV.VN - The Hanoi People’s Committee has submitted a draft resolution to the municipal People’s Council on support and allowances for police, military and coordinating forces performing political security protection tasks, with total funding estimated at about VND229.66 billion.

According to the proposal, the policy is needed to ensure consistency with current regulations and to adjust spending levels in line with changes in the base salary, market prices and task requirements under current conditions.

The draft resolution proposes two main groups of measures. The first provides daily allowances for officers and soldiers participating in maintaining security and order during holidays, festivals and major political, cultural and social events.

The proposed level is VND200,000 per person per day, within the framework set by the central government.

The second provides monthly support for forces directly performing political security protection tasks.

Specifically, officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Police are proposed to receive VND5 million per person per month. For the Hanoi Capital Command, the proposed level is VND4 million per person per month for certain key positions and VND2.5 million per person per month for personnel at unit level.

Total funding for implementation is estimated at about VND229.66 billion, an increase of VND161.32 billion. Of this, VND128 billion is allocated for allowances for 640,000 officers and soldiers from the Hanoi Police, the Hanoi Capital Command and other coordinating forces not on the state payroll. Another VND101.66 billion per year is allocated to support 1,968 officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Police and the Hanoi Capital Command performing political security protection tasks in the capital.

The funding will be sourced from the city budget and will be implemented immediately after the resolution is adopted.
