Hanoi police ready to maintain security for DPRK-USA summit

VOV.VN - Police forces in Hanoi have undergone complete mobilisation with personnel fully prepared for all scenarios in order to ensure absolute safety ahead of the DPRK-USA summit.

On the morning of February 25, police forces in Hanoi held a launch ceremony to mark the deployment of their plan to ensure transport and security run smoothly for the second DPRK-USA summit.
A police motorcade travels through the streets of the capital. They have become an increasingly common sight in the city as preparations for the summit step up.
Traffic police will be responsible for clearing the streets and guiding the participating delegations of US President Donald Trump and DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un through the city. The Hanoi Police Department will work in co-ordination with the Ministry of Public Security's Traffic Police Department and alongside other relevant units to implement plans to guide the delegations to their destinations.
A patrol team has mobilised 20 cars and 20 specialised vehicles to directly serve the event.

The RAM-2000, a high-performance light-weight armored vehicle, has been officially deployed in Hanoi’s streets to strengthen security for the summit
 
Police have been on duty around the clock to in the lead up to the summit
The Ministry of Public Security has also added an additional 500 mobile police for the event
Security forces have been heightened in front of the Melia Hotel where the delegation from the DPRK will stay during the DPRK-USA summit
Steel barriers have been erected around the Melia hotel
Emergency services are on duty around the clock at all of the summit’s venues, including hotels.
Security has been tightened on the streets, including some of the capital’s streets being cordoned off.
